Anaerobic vs. Aerobic
Exercise is an activity that
results in the physical exertion
of the body. In other words, it’s
a way to get moving!!!!!
There two types of exercise are aerobic and anaerobic. Aerobic exercises include walking, running, jump rope, bike riding, swimming, aerobics, and dance. These exercises are intended to increase the amount of oxygen your body uses, and benefits the heart and lungs. Anaerobic or isometric exercises include weightlifting and throwing a shot put. These exercises help increase and maintain muscle mass, as well as strengthen joints and ligaments.

The Benefits
People exercise for many reasons. If done properly, exercise has many benefits, such as weight loss, increasing muscle tone, and lowering blood pressure. People who exercise regularly are less likely to become overweight or have health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes. In order to see results from your exercise program you must do at least 20-30 minutes of aerobic activity at least 3 times a week. You must also remember to stretch for 10 minutes before and after your exercise routine, to prevent muscle and ligament injury.

Get ready, get set…
Before starting any new exercise program, remember to see you doctor first to make sure there are no problems. Also, pick an exercise you enjoy because you are more likely to do it on a regular basis. Ask a friend to join you. Most of all, remember to have fun.
